WSU launches new stripe rust website

Washington State University has created a new web site dedicated to informing farmers about outbreaks of the stripe rust fungus which attacks wheat crops.

Stripe rust is a fungus which can reduce yields when it attacks crops. Farmers have had to apply fungicide to crops for each of the past two springs to hold off infections from unusually heavy outbreaks of stripe rust.

The new website provides updates on rust outbreaks and provides farmers with management recommendations.
