SOMEBODY sent me a copy of a Facebook entry by one of her correspondents which offers “10 reasons to thank Obama.”

I was sure the Facebook entry wasn’t original since practically the same list of reasons to vote for Obama appeared shortly thereafter in my local newspaper’s letters column signed by a Poulsbo man and letters responding to that have followed.

I figure the list was hatched in Democratic talking points, which is the D campaign propaganda list available to Obama stooges, considering all had dates of inception which most ordinary citizens wouldn’t know or bother to find out. The D talking points are intended for use in letters to editors or calls to conservative talk show hosts.

Among the “accomplishments” of Barack Obama which are meant to inspire you to vote for him were the following, comments about them mine.

“SAVING the U.S. Auto Industry (3-30-09),” in which the President gave control to the very labor unions who caused these industries to nearly go under because of the demands of the workers. One company was ordered by the Obama administration to build an electric car which found few buyers.

“THE AFFORDABLE Care Act of 2010,” aka Obamacare, unwanted and unwelcomed by millions of Americans whose demands to see what they were getting before it was foisted off on them were ignored. The bill was rammed through Congress and immediately signed by the president despite his campaign promises that he would allow sufficient time for legislation to be comprehended before signing it and that he would read every line. He promised that it would lower insurance costs, reducing annual family premiums by $2,300 before his first term was over. Instead, the average family premium has increased $2,200 as of this last March, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation.

The U.S. Supreme Court is on the verge or has by this writing ruled on the constitutionality of the Act, the chief question whether Americans can be required to carry health insurance or be fined. Obamacrats have warned the Chief Justice and his court to keep hands off killing the Act or chunks of it in such a showing of administration bullying that even prominent Democrats have expressed outrage.

“The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (aka the stimulus bill) that made the largest investment in green technology in history, more than $70 billion.”

Barack Obama is bent on eliminating this nation’s use and dependence on fossil fuels. He has shut down coal operations, thrown a money wrench into coastal or Alaska drilling for oil, put the kibosh on the Keystone project which would have allowed Canada to transport crude oil down to Texas refineries for our use, which decision forced our neighbor to make talk with China about exporting it there instead through the west.

I ONLY HAVE space for one more. “The Education Jobs and Medicaid Assistance Act of 2010 which allocated $10 billion to avert public education layoffs (saving or creating 161,000 teacher jobs).”

Labor unions, the henchmen of the Obama administration, have resisted charter schools as a threat to the public school system despite the poor job being done by that system. They push for smaller class sizes because more teachers mean more union members despite the fact education experts have stated it doesn’t make better students.

Can I think of any reason to thank Obama? Well, considering how eager he was to take full credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden, I guess I would thank him for each year — so far — pardoning the White House Thanksgiving turkey.
