Volunteers sought for Garfield cemetery

Volunteers will meet for the annual clean up of the Garfield Cemetery Saturday, May 5. Jim Storms, secretary of the cemetery district, asks for volunteers to bring gloves, rakes, shovels, weed trimmers and whatever else may be needed.

Removal of downed limbs and gopher holes, raking and cleaning need to be done, Storms said.

The effort aims to have the cemetery ready for Memorial Day.

If weather does not cooperate Saturday, the project will be moved to the following Saturday, May 12.

For more information, call Storms.
