DOG LICENSES AT 192

The total number of dogs licenses issued in Colfax as of Friday totaled 192. Colfax begins its dog license renewals in March but continues through the year. This year was the first time dog owners were required under a new state law to show their pets have been vaccinated for rabies. In some instances this year, issuance of Colfax dog tags was delayed until dog owners could get their dogs vaccinated and present the certification.

Costs for dog licenses is $5 for spayed and neutered dogs and $12 for others. The city does not charge extra for late registration, but the dog licenses all expire at the end of March.
