Brush fire alarm draws crew

Colfax volunteer fire crew responded to a report of a brush fire along Highway 195 north of Colfax at 2:44 p.m. March 7. The fire turned out to be a controlled burn which resulted in a flurry of cell phone reports from motorists traveling along the highway.
