New rescue truck for Rosalia fire station

Whitman County Fire District 7, Rosalia, recently purchased a used 1999 International rescue truck. The vehicle was purchased from Northern Lakes fire district in Hayden, Idaho.

“As we work to meet the current needs of our fire district, we were faced with a lack of adequate storage space on our existing rescue truck,” said Fire Chief Bill Tensfeld. “We were fortunate enough to find this truck at a reasonable price and it will meet our needs for many years to come. This rescue truck is twice the size of our old one, seats five people and has the capability of refilling our breathing apparatus on the scene.”

The truck was put into service at the beginning of December.
