Garden club delivers 43 cheer baskets

Rosalia Garden Club Dec. 14 delivered 43 cheer baskets in the surrounding area to those who have lost a loved one, undergone medical problems or just find themselves alone over the past year. Garden Club members prepared the baskets with homemade candies, cookies and other holiday goodies.

This tradition was started by the Alpha Club many years ago and garden club continues with the annual community service therapy. A member of National Garden Clubs, Inc., the local club is encouraged to maintain community projects with local residents or with nursing homes, schools and hospitals. Mary...
