Giving Tree now serves more than 68 area youths

The number of youngsters listed for clothing needs on the Community Action Center giving tree totaled 68 earlier this week with more added each day, according to Gail Webster at the CAC office. Clothing needs of the youngsters are listed on ornaments which have been placed at Bank of America, US Bank and the Post Office.

Residents are urged to remove one of the stocking ornaments, purchase a clothing gift, gift wrap it and return it with the ornament before the Dec. 19 deadline.

Last year the program served 102 kids from around the area.
