Judging for the Rosalia Chamber of Commerce annual Christmas lights contest will be the weekend, Dec. 17-18. Since 2000, the contest honors winners in traditional and contemporary residential lighting with prizes.

Check with Pittmann Town & Country store in Rosalia for more information. Winners will be announced Dec. 20.

Judges for the Christmas lights will be from out of the area and include professionals in artistic productions.

This year the Christmas festival introduced Winter Wonderland Trees as the community theme with tree decorations in many of the stores and businesses.

Results of last Saturday’s Christmas Tree Contest at the Budding Rose Art Gallery are as follows:

—First Place Tree -Bank of Fairfield’s “Cowboy Tree”

—Second Place Tree - The Country Store “Spartan Tree”

—Third Place Tree - Pat’s Books “Story Book Tree”

—Fourth Place was a tie between the CoAg “Diva Tree” and Pinewood Cottage’s “The Holiday Hand Knitted Tree”

—Fifth Place - The Gifted Grannies “Sliver Holiday” tree.

The Budding Rose Art Gallery’s door prize winner was Arlin Paulsen. All proceeds from this event will go to the Rosalia Giving Tree fund. Jim and Diane Nebel, gallery owners, hosted the event.
