Meeting set on organic farming

Registration is open for an all-day symposium on dryland organic production hosted by Washington State University.

The meeting will be Nov. 11 in Yakima and will address the challenges and opportunities for organic agriculture in dryland ecosystems. Organic farmers use different inputs and farming methods.

The conference will target Northwest farmers, about 30 to 50 of which are currently certified organic in dryland systems. Keynote speaker will be Bob Quinn, an organic grain farmer from Montana.
