Colfax High School seniors report on projects

Forty-one Colfax seniors presented reports on their projects Thursday night at the high school.

Brandon Heiser, left, showed some of the equipment and demonstrated how he used them to earn certification as a diver.

Kellen Morgan, Jazz band drummer, gave a “one man band” demostration to show skills he learned on the paino and bass.

Among other projects were a boat restoration by Cody Wuestney, a vintage barn photo replication painting by Maggie Cochran, and soup making at the Top Notch by Michael Maddux.

Cody Evans fabricated a belt buckle depicting the family ranch brand and boots and presented it to his grandfather, Darrell Hall, to cap his demonstration.

Forty-four volunteers served on judging teams for the reports.

Seniors were required to spent at least 20 hours on their projects and most exceeded that minimum, according to Cathy White, teacher for the senior transitions class.
