Pullman man to serve time after failing public service

Eliezer Suhartanto, 22, Pullman, was remanded to the custody of the sheriff Feb. 23 after the court determined he had failed to serve his sentence or complete alternate public service time since he was sentenced almost six months ago. Suhartanto Sept. 3 was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail or complete 80 hours of public service after he was convicted of an amended charge of malicious mischief. He was ordered to pay $1,800 for fines and fees.

A bench warrant for his arrest was issued Feb. 10, and he was arrested and booked into jail Feb. 22.
