Direct seeders will get reports

Palouse Direct Seed Association’s next monthly breakfast meeting will be Wednesday, March 9, at 7 a.m. in the Methodist Church at Colfax.

Colfax farmer Cory Aeschliman will speak on his family’s long experience of direct seeding crops.

Kate Painter, ag economist at the University of Idaho, will present an analysis of costs and returns of direct seeding versus conventional tillage operations. Painter’s data comes from the direct seed mentor program run by the Spokane and Rock Lake Conservation districts.
