Colfax choirs present concert

Members of Colfax High School and Jennings Junior High choirs Monday night performed their holiday concert in the Colfax High School auditorium. In the top photo, members of the CHS choir used gestures as they sang “The Twelve ‘Pains’ of Christmas” near the end of their part of the program. This particular gesture was related to consumption of fruit cake.

The CHS choir also included a Latin piece in their part of the program.

Sixth, seventh and eighth graders made up the Jennings Choir which presented three numbers and a Christmas medley. The choirs were conducted by Cary Cammack and the junior high choir was accompanied by Melissa May.

At the end of the program, the combined choirs led the audience in a traditional singing of Christmas carols.
