Pullman births - Oct. 7, 2010

Anglum, Tianna Corinne, born Sept. 28, 2010, at nine pounds, two ounces to Cassie and James Anglum of Colfax. Paternal grandparents are Roger and Georgette Anglum, Oak Harbor. Maternal grandparents are Tim and Teri Switaski and Sam and Luanne DiMaggio, Kettle Falls. The baby joins one sister, Angelina, 5, and one brother, Rocco, 2.

Fitzgerald, Bethany Joy, born Sept. 25, 2010, at seven pounds, five ounces, to Dan and Cassi Fitzgerald of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Tom and Diane Fitzgerald, Nampa, Idaho. Maternal grandparents are Boyd Ribble, Centralia and Cindy Olsen, Tacoma. The baby joins one sister, Addyson, 17 months.

Penkacik, Brighton Morrissey, born Sept. 26, 2010, at eight pounds, 10 ounces, to Jason and Shawnee Penkacik of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Kenneth and Judy Penkacik, Tonawanda, N.Y. Maternal grandparents are John and Patty Eirich, Tyrone, Pa., and Isabell Eirich, Pullman. Brighton joins eight siblings.

Taylor, Christian Alan, born Sept. 27, 2010, at eight pounds, six ounces, to Brittany Beaudry and Dax Taylor of Colfax. Paternal grandmother is Pam Winningham, Crossville, Tenn. Maternal grandparents are Tina Vatala and Mark Heinlen, Colfax. The baby joins one brother, Nathan, 3.

Wilson, Eric Ken, born Sept. 27, 2010, at seven pounds, seven ounces, to Aaron and Shawna Wilson of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Eric and Karen Wilson, Dayton, Ohio. Maternal grandparents are Ken Liljenquist, Pocatello, Idaho, and Lavonne Greek, Yakima. The baby joins three brothers, Jem, 6, Nolan, 4 and Nathanael, 2.

Driving course

An AARP driver safety program will be at the Public Service Building in Colfax, Oct. 18 and 19, 1 to 5 p.m. each day. The eight hour refresher course is for experienced drivers 50 and older. The program addresses age-related changes that can affect driving ability and behavior, and offers ways to compensate for these changes. The curriculum is designed to remind drivers of skills and techniques once learned and to update drivers on the rules of the road. Most insurance companies offer a discount on premium rates upon completion of the program.

Pre-registration is required. The fee for materials is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non members. A certificate of completion is issued. To register and for further information call AAG Insurance in Colfax or Stan Buckley at Pullman. Class size in limited.
