Pool, Brinkley start special library training

Clancy Pool, branch services manager at Whitman Library, and Cheryl Brinkley, adult services librarian at, Neill Library in Pullman; are among 19 librarians in the state who have been selected to participated in a new program that aims to serve middle-age patrons. Called “Transforming Life After 50,” the program is funded by the U.S. Institute for Museum and Library Services.

The program began July 1 and will run through June 30, 2011. It is funded by a grant from the IMLS, Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program....
