Pullman Crazy Days adds art walk displays

Pullman Chamber of Commerce this week will sponsor an Art Walk and Art Cruise as part of the annual Crazy Days celebration July 21-24. More than a dozen artists will display their work at Pullman retail stores and there will be an opportunity to meet the artists at a Friday night reception.

Carrie Vielle, a participating artist, is the coordinator of the Art Walk & Cruise.

Crazy Days, hosted by Pullman Chamber, kicked off Wednesday with the opening of the art displays, the Fresh Farm Market and the Music in the Park Summer Series hosted by Pullman Parks & Recreation.

“We want to have a lot of really fun things going on to bring people to town and get everyone out for a great summer experience,” said Tammy Lewis, chamber executive director.

Shoppers can enter drawings at various retailers to win prizes. To go with the theme this year there will be a daily drawing for art work provided by some of the participating artists. Displays will feature everything from fine handmade jewelry to sketches and mixed-media, oil and watercolor paintings and collages.
