4. “American Graffiti.” Although produced on a low budget, The National Film Registry has chosen the 1973 film for preservation in its archives.

5. Ashford & Simpson, in 1984. They also had disco hit “Found A Cure” in 1979.

6. “Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.,” released in 1973, included “Blinded by the Light” and “Spirit in the Night.”
