Allege Thornton tool theft

Kenneth Stoddard Crowston, 46, Medical Lake, has been summoned to court Aug. 6 after charges were filed July 14 in superior court following investigation of an alleged burglary of tools at Thornton. The deputy’s report filed with the case outlines a search for the missing tools at pawn shops and storage units in the Spokane area. Crowston initially became a suspect because he was a former employee of the alleged victim of the burglary. One Spokane resident who acquired the tools contacted deputies after he learned an investigation was underway and told them he wanted nothing to do with the tools or the suspect, the report said.
