County faces suit in accident

A suit has been filed against Whitman County seeking alleged damages from an accident involving a county truck July 29, 2009, on the Lancaster Road at the intersection with the Harry Pierce Road. The suit was filed by Spokane Attorney Dan Johnson on behalf of Cynthia Morgan of Endicott.

The complaint alleges a $400,000 claim for damages was filed with the county March 10 and 60 days have elapsed without a response. The claim procedure is required before a suit can be filed with the court. The suit itself seeks general and special damages but does not list a specific amount.
