Malden Library moves to new site

Malden Library has moved into its brand new location with a larger collection and new hours. Hours are Tuesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Librarian Shannon Roe credited Dan and Carolyn Sturgeon, Fran Maxwell, Trevor Main and Josh Roe for their effort in preparing, moving and setting up the new building. Fence Menders of Malden added their support in setting up the new library.

Malden Summer reading begins June 24 at 5 p.m., lasts an hour and runs for six weeks. The theme is “Make a Splash, Read!” Programs include stories, crafts, snacks, prizes and surprises for the children age 2 to 12. The library is also offering prizes for teens and adults who submit three short reviews of books they read this summer.
