Vermont graduation ceremony on return route

Fran Jones recently returned from her winter home in Arizona. She took “the long route home” having made a trip to Burlington, Vermont, to attend the graduation ceremonies of grandson Abel Jones, son of Bruce and Johanna, who received a degree in business administration from St. Michael’s College.

Tom and Besse Cooney, who lived for three months at the Fran Jones home in Dusty, have bought a home in the Oakesdale area. On Saturday evening, a house warming party was held for them. Fran, Bryan and Warren Jones were among the guests.

Steve and Dianne Appel have welcomed a new grandchild. Juniette Sophia-Belle was born to Stephanie and Rob Mitchell of Spokane on May 17. She weighed nine pounds, six ounces and joins two siblings.

Linda Hennigar spent Mother’s Day weekend with her daughter, Tami and family in the Tri-Cities. She helped her grandson Wesley celebrate his 10th birthday and attended one of his baseball games.

Al and Goldie Foss of Everett spent the weekend as guests of her twin sister, Gloria and Norm Erickson. Saturday, they were in Richland for the annual Stueckle cousins reunion at the Luther Senior Center.

Hosts were Dave and Elaine Stueckle Hogan. Other attendees included David and Phyllis Stueckle, Marcus and Reita Stueckle, Mary Scheideman, Martha Hibbard, Gertie Scheideman, Esther Gentry, Eva LeCaire, Arnie Stueckle, Gracia Stueckle and Terry and Michelle Stueckle.

Karen Broeckel attended a birthday dinner for her great-nephew, Jason Nolan, at the home of his parents, Greg and Gwen Nolan, Monday evening. Also attending were his grandparents, Cliff and Jeanette Nolan, Mark and Carol Rubin, uncle, aunt and cousin, Jay, Kathy and Bryan Rubin; brother Andrew Nolan, Kerry King and two friends from Pullman.
