Jin Tao He, Sam Kammerzell exchange vows in Shanghai

Jin Tao He (Peach) and Samuel Marc Kammerzell were married April 18, 2010 in Shanghai, China. Peach is the daughter of Bin He (father) and Zhong Mei Que (mother) of Hubei, China. Sam is the son of Barb and Tim Schluneger, Colfax, and Tom and Cheryl Kammerzell, Colfax.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a cream wedding gown, trimmed in ecru lace work. The gown was loaned to Peach by a college roommate. Peach accented the dress with a string of cultured pearls and pearl earrings, gifts from friends and family.

Maid of Honor, Yu Si Zhang of Guangxi province, also a college friend, wore a tea length peach colored dress with pearl accessories and a cream cashmere shrug.

Best man was Andrew Kindred from Oregon, now living in Shanghai with his family. The Chinese/American ceremony was officiated by Ted Child, friend of the couple. The decorations of fresh flowers, greens, pink sashes and ribbons were provided by friends of the couple as a gift. Mothers of the bride and groom lit candles for the unity candle. The father of the groom read the marriage blessing.

All English and Chinese was translated for the 200 family and guests.

Following the ceremony, the bride and groom changed into traditional Chinese attire and joined their immediate family for a traditional Chinese wedding meal. The bride wore a red satin dress and the groom wore a burgundy and black satin Chinese jacket.

Attending the week long wedding celebration from America were Sam’s sisters, Abigail DeMeerleer, Colton; Elizabeth Carter, Pullman, and Sam’s parents, Barb Schluneger and Tom Kammerzell.

Peach is a graduate in fashion design from Dong Haun University, Shanghai. Sam is a 2009 WSU graduate in neurosciences. The couple are currently living and working in Shanghai. They plan a brief honeymoon trip at the conclusion of Shanghai Expo, which began May 1.
