Hospital highlights - Hail and Farewell

Barbara Broesch, RN has joined the Emergency Department working as needed. She is a graduate of Walla Walla Community College and most recently worked as a traveling nurse for Medical Call Northwest. Prior to that, she worked at Deaconess in Spokane. Barbara enjoys scrapbooking and walking her dogs.

Merrie Fleming, SLP is our new Speech Therapist. Merrie has started in a part time capacity and will become full time this summer. She earned her BS in Communications Disorders from EWU and her Masters in Speech Pathology at WSU. She previously worked for St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. Merrie enjoys gardening, cooking, camping, stamping and crafts.

Judy Moore, RN is now on board serving as an Evening House Supervisor. Judy graduated nursing school at Spokane Community College and began her nursing career at Olsten Health Services in Portland. She has also worked at Holy Family and Sacred Heart in Spokane and Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue. Judy enjoys oil painting, knitting, biking and gardening.

Scott Nelson, RT is our new Radiology Manager. Scott is a graduate of Apollo College Radiology Program and holds additional certifications in CT and MRI technologies. He worked previously at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow and Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino.

Vicki Nichols recently retired from Environmental Services. Vicki served for many years giving her best to our patients and a hospital she loved. She originally joined the staff because she was impressed with care she received here and wanted to be a part of the team. The entire WHMC family wishes her the best.
