Earn Trout scholarships

Grant Schultz of Davenport and Jonathan Burkholder of Warden were named recipients of the 15th annual Ken Troutt Memorial Scholarships at the Annual Bull Test Sale March 24, at Prosser. Mary Burkholder represented her son Jonathan who was unable to attend. The $350 scholarships were issued by Jerry York, sale representative for the scholarship fund, on behalf of the consignors, management and staff of the Washington Cattlemen’s Association/WSU Bull Test Sale.

Scholarships are awarded each year to an enrolling college freshman from a family that has consigned or purchased bulls at this sale. Mr. Troutt was a renowned auctioneer that had served at many northwest sales. The scholarship money is generated by contributions and endowments.
