School advisors honor Kay Andersen

Kay Davis Andersen, Clarkston High School teacher, has been selected by the Washington Association of Student councils as the Washington State High School Advisor of the Year. She is the daughter of Harry and Irma Davis of St. John.

As ASB advisor, she was recognized for touching the lives of students, staff and parents. Additionally, through her active involvement at state and local levels, she has provided leadership opportunities for thousands of students and advisors throughout Washington.

Kay has taught at Clarkston High School for 30 years and has been the librarian and ASB advisor for 21 years. She directs the student council in planning dances, assemblies and school spirit weeks. Kay and her husband, Dan, have one son, Joel, now a sophomore at Clarkston.
