Pilot walks away from crash

Colfax ag pilot Brian Windsor escaped serious injury last Thursday when this 1977 Grumman Ag Cat lost power during takeoff from the Colfax Airport at about 8:35 a.m. The airplane cleared Rebel Flat Creek at the west end of the airport, nosed into the field and struck its tail while flipping. Windsor walked away from the wreck when the first witness arrived at the scene. He was picked up by the Colfax ambulance at the hangar and taken to Whitman Hospital for a checkup.
