The annual Valentine dinner for Lamont Community Church was at the Lai Lai Gardens in Airway Heights.

Attending were Dave and Ginny Rajala, Airway Heights; Earl Swift, Denny and Linda O’Keefe, Diane Cook, Art and Jill Swannack, Carmen, Leah and Owen from Lamont and Lynn Stanescu and Katheryn Folgeman from Sprague.

Bonnie and Bill Swannack celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary by going out to dinner Monday evening. Earlier in the day, Bonnie drove to Cheney to join the Cheney quilters to work on projects. She has been a member of this group for many years

Tom Stromberger of Spokane was a guest at the home of his parents, Dan and Jean Stromberger Monday.

Evelyn Shields has been moved to the nursing home in Davenport.

Earl Swift and his daughter, June Wollweber, recently spent about 10 days traveling to visit friends and relatives in Washington and Oregon.

They went to the home of Earl’s daughter, Dawn and her husband, Melvin Bradley, and visited Richard and Zelma Steward, both living on the coast.

Richard and Earl graduated from Lamont High School in 1944, and Richard later became a minister in the Sprague Lamont area. They visited Irma Marvin Reed and went on to Brush Prairie to see Dick and Mary Temple.

Dick was the minister of the Lamont Community Church for 10 years about 50 years ago. From there, they drove to visit with relatives in Lake Oswego, Salem, Eugene and Medford, Ore.

Saturday, Bonnie and Bill Swannack, Tom and Hollie Swannack and Janet and Mark Bowman drove to Harrington to watch Tommie Sue Swannack play basketball. The fifth grade Sprague Harrington girls beat Reardan 26 to 19. Tommie Sue then played again with the 6th grade team and that game was won by Reardan 24 to 29. Tommie Sue is the daughter of Tom and Hollie Swannack.
