Patrol Charger hit on 26

The 2006 Dodge Charger operated by WSP Trooper Bruce Blood was struck from behind by a 2005 Ford Focus driven by Makenzie L. Swift, Spokane, early Sunday afternoon on Highway 26. According to the Washington State Patrol report, Blood was driving eastbound on Highway 26 at 12:29 p.m., slowed down and signaled to turn left off the highway and onto the Endicott Road 3.5 miles west of Colfax.

Swift applied the brakes on the Focus, but was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the rear of the Charger patrol car. Trooper Blood was checked out for possible neck injuries at the hospital after the accident.
