Colfax man jailed for rape

Joshua A. Bailey, 18, Colfax, was booked into the county jail Friday on a probable charges of second-degree child rape and fourth degree assault. Sheriff’s Deputies and the Pullman Police have been investigating the report which allegedly took place in Albion about six months ago.

The victim for both charges is a 13-year-old girl. The arrest report said Bailey denied having sex with the girl.

A $10,000 bond amount was set for pre-trial release in a first court appearance Monday. He was expected to make a first appearance in court today. Formal charges have not been filed.
