Daily newspapers around the nation are struggling as they lose more and more readership to online news sites. What do you think the future holds for newspapers?

Sara DeLong, St. John

“I think they will probably stick around. We have a generation out there that isn’t computer-oriented.”

Where do you get your news?

“TV or newspaper. Not online.”

Ralph Walter, Colfax

“I think they’re going to last because people still like to sit down with a cup of cofee and go through the sports and local news. You can’t take a computer with you to a coffee shop.”

Lynda Kramlich, Colfax

“No, I think newspapers are going to be beat out by the internet. Most everybody has a computer at home or work.”

Jill Miller, Colfax

“I don’t think they will beat out the newspapers because there is nothing like sitting down with a cup of coffee in the morning with the newspaper. Society is fast-paced right now and that is a second to slow down.”
