Road litter goes away

One case of littering along the N. Palouse River road has been resolved. The city investigated a complaint of several plastic bags of household litter which were left along the road at about three miles out. City police determined the origin of the litter from a letter envelope which was found in the litter. Chief Bill Hickman said the suspect was contacted, advised of possible charges and given the alternative of cleaning up the mess. The litter was gone as of 8 a.m. last Thursday morning.
