Bell will teach Voshell classes

Colton school has hired a temporary substitute teacher, Kelly Bell, to take the place of Glenn Voshell, a Colton science teacher who died in a fall Dec. 12 while hunting on the Snake River breaks.

Bell, who moved to Colton from Manson, will teach Voshell’s science and math classes for the rest of the year.

Colton has 170 students and 17 teachers.

Colton Supt. Nate Smith said at the end of the year, the district will make a permanent decision on filling the vacancy.

Before Bell came on staff, Colton used local substitute teachers to cover Voshell’s teaching assignments.
