Records requests swamp city staffers at Palouse

City staff in Palouse have been working overtime to fill public records requests submitted in the past two months from Steve McGehee and Jim Farr, both of Palouse. The two have submitted 92 requests for documents to the city of Palouse in the past 10 months.

Another Palouse citizen, Connie Newman, concerned the public records requests are overwhelming Palouse’s two-person office with hours of fact-checking, is now looking into state policies that would help ease the burden on the city’s staff.
