Brinks host barn work weekend

Larry and Di Brink hosted a “Working on the Barn” weekend from Thursday to Saturday of last week. Those who came to lend muscle to the work detail included Kevin Brink and family from Richland and John Brink of College Place.

Speakers at the morning worship services Sunday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Dusty Country Bible Church will be Perry and LaNae Pust of the Mission Aviation Fellowship. They were former missionaries in Indonesia.

Last week, Kim Gustafson and a group of girlfriends from around the state attended the Big Sky Aged Event cutting competition in Montana. Gustafson won a trophy for reserve champion in an exhibition bridle-less class that was a fund raiser for “Ride for the Cure” an event that emphasized breast cancer awareness by having all participants, including the horses, sport pink in their attire.

Linda Hennigar recently attended a baby shower at the Cedarburg Barn near Colfax for Kristy Hennigar Powell. Kristy’s mother Susie Hennigar and sister Charity Hennigar hosted the event for about 30 guests.

Karen Broeckel joined Cliff and Jeanette Nolan, Colfax; Patty Wieber and her son Brett, Spokane; and Ken and Pam Beasley and son Austin, Waitsburg; at Loon Lake Wednesday through Saturday. Jason Nolan of Colfax was with the group earlier in the week.
