Six-year county road plan lists just 2 years of funding

A six-year plan charting Whitman County’s future in road construction projects was approved by the county commissioners last week. Required under state funding procedures, the plan outlines over $34.4 million in road projects through 2015.

Public Works Director Mark Storey said one of the features of the plan this year is the early end point of known funding. Although the plan goes out for six years, most of the known funding for the projects is unknown after the first two years.
