The story of John Ellis of Colfax and his B-17 bomber crew ditching in the English Channel is a centerpiece of a museum now at Rougham Field in East Anglia, England. The museum was in its beginning phases after World War II when a British fishing boat brought up an aircraft engine in its nets.
