COLTON - The Colton Wildcats boys basketball team just barely fell short in two games last week.
Colton fell to the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves, 39-36, on Friday, Dec. 13, before losing by just two points to the Waitsburg Cardinals, 50-48, on Saturday, Dec 14. The Wildcats then lost to the Oakesdale Nighthawks, 67-38, on Monday, Dec. 16.
Against Waitsburg, it was a close matchup to start with Waitsburg gaining an 8-6 lead to end the first quarter. The Cardinals added a small advantage in the second quarter and led at halftime, 27-23.
