Teams emerge victorious in respective coed and men's brackets

PULLMAN - Softball teams vied to become champions in two tournaments of the Lentil Festival on Saturday, Aug. 17.
Three teams played in the men's bracket, and four teams played in the coed tournament.
For the coed bracket, the Monstars defeated Carlson Gunsmithing, 13-11, in the championship game. To get there, the Monstars beat the Steelhead, 13-0, in the opening round and beat Carlson Gunsmithing, 14-6, in the semifinal.
Carlson Gunsmithing beat Combined Forces, 9-6, in the first round, fell to the Monstars in the semifinal, then won the next two games to make it to the championship. They be...
