Washington State University Soccer team earns national academic award

PULLMAN — The Washington State University soccer team was named a College Team Academic Award winner by the United Soccer Coaches for the 2023-24 academic year, the organization announced on Thursday, Aug. 1.

The award is given to teams who perform well in the classroom and have a high GPA.

As a team, the athletes averaged a 3.34 GPA over the two-semester academic year, marking the seventh time under WSU Head Coach Todd Shulenberger’s nine-year tenure to earn the award.
