PULLMAN - Young women gathered in Pullman on July 31, to get ready to show their skills during the Barbie-themed Distinguished young Woman of Washington program on Saturday, Aug. 3.

The Pullman High School theater filled with family, friends and a panel of judges to see the participants all dressed in pink and ready to compete in the talent, self expression and fitness portion of the competition.

The young women had met individually earlier during the day with the panel of judges for the interview and scholastic achievement categories.
