Increased patrols on the Palouse

PULLMAN —Washington State Patrol is conducting emphasis patrols starting Aug. 9, through Sunday, Aug. 18.

The patrols will be in response to Washington State University (WSU) students returning to Pullman for fall semester.

District 4 troopers will focus on speeding, distracted, impaired driving and other collision-causing violations.

Drivers are instructed to pay close attention to all speed limit changes as they travel across the state, not drive distracted and focus on safe operation of their vehicle.

Motorists will see an increased trooper presence on State Route 26 and U.S. Highway 195.
