Colfax City Council discusses roundabout resolutions

COLFAX — During the Colfax City Council meeting last night, Monday, Aug. 5, council members created and approved resolutions for buffer material and maintenance for the roundabout slated for Colfax.

Washington Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently in the design phase for the roundabout, which is expected to replace the two bridges that cross the North Fork Palouse River on SR 26 and US 195.

The roundabout incorporates a single bridge large enough to accommodate wide loads, heavy truck traffic, passenger vehicle volumes and a shared use path, according to WSDOT project page.
