Colfax punches ticket to championship game

SPOKANE – In a game that was up for grabs after three quarters, No. 1 Colfax dominated the last eight minutes to defeat No. 4 Warden 66-53 in the 2B Girls State Basketball Tournament semifinals at the Spokane Arena Friday, March 3.

For much of the game, Warden stood toe-to-toe with the undefeated (26-0) Bulldogs, looking every bit like a title contender. The teams played to a 26-26 draw in the first half.

Lauryn Madsen scored 10 of her team's points, and Jaisha Gibb scored 11 for Colfax.

In the third quarter Madsen scored 10 more points to put her team ahead 45-41.
