COLFAX — Whitman County District Court reported the following criminal conviction sentences from Jan. 24 to Jan. 31:
• Aiden Williamson was convicted for theft in the 3rd degree. The court authorized a deferred sentence for 12 months, with 60 days in jail, 59 suspended days, and a fine of $500. The defendant has one day in jail convertible to 12 hours community service. The defendant has fines totaling $343. The defendant must not have any criminal violations of law, and supervised probation for the last 6 months if all essential requirements of the sentence have been completed and if payment of fines is completed. The defendant must attend a theft prevention course, and begin within 45 days with filed proof of timely enrollment and completion. Defendant may earn up to 4 hours community service by attending Issaquah Municipal Court sessions.
• Parker Jones, charges were amended. Whitman County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and pursuant to a plea agreement to the amended charges of negligent driving in the first degree. The defendant drove a motor vehicle in a manner that was both negligent and likely to endanger a person. Exhibited the effect of having consumed liquor. The defendant waived arraignment on the amended charge. The waiver is made knowingly and voluntarily as part of a plea agreement.
• Megan Milan, charges were amended. Whitman County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and pursuant to a plea agreement of driving under the influence. To the amended charges of negligent driving in the first degree. The defendant operated a motor vehicle in a manner that is both negligent and likely to endanger a person and exhibited the effects of having consumed liquor.
• Adran L. Francis, was charged with 1 count of harassment. The defendant’s sentence is suspended/deferred for 12 months with 90 days of jail, suspended for 89 days. Serve a total of one day in jail with credit for 0 days served. 1 day in jail can be converted to 8 hours of community service. The defendant has a criminal conviction fee of $43. Defendant must not have criminal violations of law or alcohol-related infractions. Probation for 12 months, with the probation department and abide by all rules and regulations of probation department. Pay a $50 pre-sentence fee and a $50 monthly probation fee unless the fee is reduced by the probation department. Do not go upon the property of and have no contact with Ericka Stricker or any member of her family. Upon receipt of the apology letter Francis wrote to the Court, and upon completion of community service and fines and one year of probation the defendant can have a deferred sentence.
