Colfax Fly-In lands at Air Center

COLFAX – The seventh annual Colfax Fly-In and Pancake Breakfast will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Port of Business Air Center, 707 Flight Line Drive.

The family-friendly event is free, featuring experimental to antique aircraft displays. There will be a civil air patrol flight simulation and a classic car show. The Colfax Rotary Club will serve a pancake, sausage, and scrambled egg breakfast for $9 a person.

According to Fly-In Coordinator Barney Buckley, the event has seen about 240 airplanes and helicopters and an estimated 1,450 visitors since its inception. After the event was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, about 160 people and 40 aircraft turned out for last year’s Fly-In.

The event is organized by the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 328 of Lewiston, Idaho, and sponsored by the Port of Whitman County. As the owner-operator of Port of Whitman Business Air Center, the Port supports opportunities to educate the community about aviation and its value to the region's multimodal transportation system. During the Fly-In, the Port will have an informational display on planned improvements to the Port of Whitman Business Air Center.
