Traffic stop in Colfax nets guns, fentanyl

Two loaded handguns and 76 fentanyl pills seized.

COLFAX – Amber Sitter, 31 and Raymond Cooper, 37 both of Spokane Valley were arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, as well as unlawful possession of a firearm Sunday, Sept. 18, reports say. Sitter, and Cooper were to make their first appearance yesterday, Monday Sept. 19 in Whitman County Superior Court.

The suspect's vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation by Whitman County deputies while traveling northbound in downtown Colfax Sunday evening.

Reports state that deputies located 76 fentanyl pills and two loaded handguns during a search of the vehicle. It is reported that both the driver and her passenger were convicted felons and prohibited from possessing firearms.

They admitted later that they were returning from Clarkston where they had delivered a substantial quantity of Fentanyl pills, states the report.
