Ruckers honor veterans with a Silent Auction

OAKESDALE – This weekend, Saturday, Sept. 24, ruckers will be gathering at Steptoe Butte to honor the fallen. Starting at Steptoe Butte at 7 a.m. there will be a 10K on Ragon/Hume Road at 10:30 a.m., and a 5K on Huggins Road/Hume Road at 11:45 a.m. The Ruckers are expected to arrive in Oakesdale at 12:30-1p.m., and will be joined by the mini ruckers on the last mile.

"This weekend is about marching for heroes. It's about honoring the memory of a hero in your world. All heroes in general," said coordinator Marletta Sisak.

While the ruckers are out there will be vendors in Oakesdale from 10 a.m....
