Sealed bids for the following described construction will be received by Town of Malden at:

(1) By mail to the office of the Clerk/Treasurer at P.O. Box 248, Malden, WA 99149, until 2:01:00 P.M., P.S.T., of the bid opening date. Notification by the Post Office will be considered as actual receipt of the bid by the Town of Malden.

(2) In the office of Clerk-Treasurer, Town Hall, Town of Malden at the Town Hall, W 204 Moreland, Malden, Washington, until 2:01:00 P.M, P.S.T., of the bid opening date. Bids delivered in person will be received only at the office of Clerk/Treasurer.

The bid opening date for this project shall be Thursday, September 13, 2022. The bids will be publicly opened and read after 2:01:00 P.M. on this date.

Brief description of work:

The project consists of drilling and testing a new production well for the Town of Malden.

Bid security:

A certified or bank cashier’s check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount, payable to the Town of Malden, or bid bond executed by a licensed bonding company is required with each bid, subject to the conditions provided for in the bid procedures and conditions. No bidder may withdraw a bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Rejection of bids:

The Town shall have the right to reject any or all bids not accompanied by bid security or data required by the bidding document or a bid in any way incomplete or irregular.

All work performed on this project will be subject to state prevailing wage rates.

DETERMINATION OF

NONSIGNIFICANCE (DNS)

Whitman County Planning issued a Determination of Nonsignificance (DNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) for the following project:

A restoration project to clean out the channelized drainage of Frog Creek which flows into Union Flat Creek. To prevent localized flooding, sediment and excess plant growth shall be regularly removed to maintain the hydraulic capacity of the ditch and to reduce erosion. The soil removed from the site will be reclaimed back to the adjacent agricultural land.

The project is taking place in the SE ¼ of Section 14, Township 16 N., Range 42 E., and the NW ¼ of Section 23, Township 18 N., Range 42 E., W.M., Whitman County, Washington.

After review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with us, the Planning Office has determined that this proposal will not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment.

The Town of LaCrosse (Town) announces its intention to seek qualifications from qualified and experienced firms or individuals in providing Architectural and Engineering services to construct, repair, and update areas of a Public Works Shop. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed Bids for the Whitman County Solid Waste Transfer Station Scale Replacement Project will be received in paper copy form by Whitman County Board of County Commissioners, State of Washington, at the Whitman County Public Works Building in Colfax, WA, until 10:45 am local time, on Monday, September 19, 2022, at which time all bids will be opened and publicly read. The proposed project, Little Hangman Creek Restoration Project, is located at 1051 S.R. 274, Tekoa, in Whitman County, Washington.

This project involves approximately 5.25 acres of soil disturbance for Stream Bank Stabilization/Habitat Restoration construction activities.

The receiving waterbody is Little Hangman Creek.

Any persons desiring to present their views to the Washington State Department of Ecology regarding this Application, or interested in Ecology’s action on this Application, may notify Ecology in writing no later than 30 days of the last date of publication of this notice. for Qualifications Data to Furnish Engineering and Land Surveying Services

The Town of Rosalia (pursuant to Chapter 61, Laws of 1981) is inviting statements of

qualifications and performance information from firms interested in providing professional

engineering and land surveying services for existing and future town projects for 2022 through 2027. The projects for which engineering planning, design, and construction observation services and surveying services are sought may include wastewater treatment plant upgrades and collection system improvement projects, miscellaneous water system improvement projects, and transportation improvement projects.

These projects may be partially funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant Program with federal funds provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Qualification and performance statements will be reviewed, place on file for the 2022-2027 calendar years, and will be used as the source from which to select one or more qualified firms from whom a detailed proposal may be requested for any specific project.

Minority and women owned firms are encouraged to submit statements of qualifications.
