Motel under new ownership

COLFAX — Siblings Caitlin Lansing and Michael Nelson are the new co-owners of Siesta Motel.

Lansing moved to Colfax from Lewiston, Idaho, in February to manage the motel, 615 S. Main St., while Nelson currently resides in southern California.

The new owners are renovating the motel, which Lansing said needed a facelift.

“We have made a vast amount of updates of updates and plan on more,” Lansing said.

Lansing has worked in several customer-focused roles, most recently as an in-home caregiver, which she says gave her the customer skills to succeed in her new role.
